James Hodgson has 30 years' experience in the legal profession. He trained as a lawyer, specialising in intellectual property and commercial litigation, before discovering his passion for business - the business of law firms. This culminated in setting up KLegal - the KPMG law firm - in 1999 and the merger with McGrigor Donald in 2002 before embarking on a career in consulting legal businesses in 2004.
James understands the opportunities and anomolies (and perhaps its idiosyncracies!) of the legal profession. He has wide ranging experience in all aspects of law firm management - from HR and recruitment, to WIPs, lock-step and blue sky thinking; from steering through rough waters of mergers, ensuring change is managed positively to evaluating and implementing strategic business plans.
James brings a "Can Do" attitude to everything that he does and succeeds at getting the job done effectively.
